The new version of the Mizuno Wave Rider is as cushioned and comfortable as ever but it now has Mizuno's new Gender Specific Engineering which means that they are designed especially for mens running needs. Now in a new colourway for Summer 2011. The Other noticeable difference is the inclusion of the NEW AP+ MIDSOLE. This makes the shoe much more cushioned, springy and durable for the runner. This shoe has an incredibly slick transition and ride and now with an improved fit and cushioning. NEW - This shoe is now gender specific to men.Research carried out by Mizuno has indicated that there is a significant difference between the biomechanics of men's and women's running gaits. The tests revealed that the angle velocity and speed of pronation is higher in women than in men. The research also found that the transition of the foot strike is slower in men than in women and also the angle of the foot stirke is more severe in women than in men. Due to this reasearch Mizuno have tried to design the trainers to acomodate for these differences. NEW - AP+ Midsole- This is Mizuno's NEW midsole compound that gives an amazing ride.
